Before you book

How do I book a Christmas party at Big Society?

For up to 9 guests, book a table online where available. For 10 or more, or if you’d like the whole venue, send us an enquiry using the form below and our team will get back to you to confirm availability and take a deposit.

Is a deposit required?

Parties of 10 or more, and anyone choosing the full festive set menu, pay a £10-per-person deposit which comes off your final bill. Whole-venue hire requires 25% of minimum spend, or the hire charge in full, depending on the type of booking.

Can we hire the whole venue?

Yes — Big Society offers whole-venue hire for your Christmas party, seating up to 50 or holding up to 200 standing. A minimum spend or hire charge applies depending on the date and type of event; we’ll provide a tailored quote with your enquiry.

What food options are available?

Choose from our Christmas Menu (2 or 3 courses) or our Party Buffet Menu (Pizza Buffet or the fuller Village Feast). See both in our Christmas brochure. Both are available Sunday to Saturday, with a small supplement Thursday to Saturday.

Do you cater for vegetarian, vegan or other dietary requirements?

Yes, both our Christmas Menu and Party Buffet Menu include vegetarian and vegan options. Let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book.

Can we add games to our party?

Big Society has a games room with ping pong, arcade machines, pinball, foosball and bar skittles — a great addition to any Christmas party. Ask us about the games room when you plan your booking.

When do you need our final numbers and menu choices?

We ask for final numbers and food choices 14 days before your event, though we’ll always try to accommodate late bookings where we can.

Are you open on Christmas Day or Boxing Day?

Big Society is closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We’re open as usual in the run-up to Christmas and back to normal hours after.

Can I book a table without a full party booking?

Of course — for smaller groups you can book a table online without needing to go through the party enquiry process.

Is my booking confirmed once I submit the enquiry form?

Not quite — submitting the form registers your interest and our team will follow up to confirm availability, details and take any deposit needed. Your date isn’t held until the deposit or hire charge is paid.

Can we celebrate in January?

Yes — from 2–31 January 2027, prebooked groups of 10 or more get 20% off festive food. It’s a great option if December got away from you. Drinks, games and hire are excluded from the discount.
